The Guerdon Associates and CGI Glass Lewis Remuneration and Governance Forum update

The afternoon of 12 March in Sydney, and morning of 20 March in Perth

Our 14th Remuneration and Governance Forum, co-sponsored by Guerdon Associates and the proxy adviser, CGI Glass Lewis will among other things, focus on:

  • Executive remuneration, discretion and consequence management;
  • The assessment and disclosure of non-financial risk

In October 2019 ASIC reported on director and officer oversight on non-financial risk (see HERE) and soon it will report on discretionary decision-making on executive variable remuneration.

Hence we are very pleased to have ASIC Commissioner John Price participate in our Sydney Forum, along with issuers and investors who are regarded as initiating sound responses to these issues, including Peter Warne, chair of Macquarie Group and the NSW Treasury Corporation and member of ASIC Director Advisory Panel, Christine McLoughlin, chair of Suncorp and NED at nib, and Iris Davila, Head of Investment Stewardship Australia, Blackrock

For Perth, among our panellists we have Nick Cernotta, NED, Northern Star Resources, Pilbara Minerals, Panoramic Resources and New Century Resources, Sharon Warburton, NED, Wesfarmers, Fortescue, Worley, NEXTDC and Gold Road, Iris Davila, Head of Investment Stewardship Australia, Blackrock, and Michael Chaney, chair of Wesfarmers

So, save the date – the afternoon of 12 March in Sydney, and the morning of 20 March in Perth.

Invitations have been sent to company directors, institutional investors, regulators and company executives. If you are one of these, and have not received an invitation, contact us.

As in past Forums, the Chatham House Rule applies. News media will be excluded. Open and frank discussion is encouraged.
