Gateway
A mandatory performance floor or minimum that must be achieved before an incentive plan can trigger any payouts. The gateway may be independent of the performance metric that governs the rate an incentive may vest at. E.g. a gateway may be a minimum TSR, while the performance metric may be EPS growth.
