ReportWatch is a global annual report monitoring service.  Each year it publishes its annual report on annual reports.  Annual reports are assessed on a number of pertinent factors and 200 of the global top annual reports are graded. 

Several of the largest Australian listed companies make the grade in several respects.  Among them, James Hardie was named as having a remuneration report with the highest level of transparency on executive compensation disclosure.  James Hardie was also the highest ranking Australian company overall. 

Other Australian listed companies ranking highly on various aspects and overall include ANZ, Woolworths and BHP Billiton.

Interestingly, ReportWatch’s own internet version of its annual report on annual reports does not have the most intuitive interface.
