In 2023, after 3 years of lock-downs and hosting on-line Forums, we are back together with you again, face to face, and possibly when it comes to some investors and company directors, toe to toe. But all in a spirit of constructive debate for mutual understanding and support.

The issues are many, from remuneration in a higher inflation environment, ongoing challenges with long term, sometimes intractable ESG and other non-financial objectives and executive pay, to the very real risks associated with cyber infiltrations. Too many, in fact, such that we have to reduce the number to be addressed in our Forum to permit sufficient quality review and discussion. More on which issues we will land on will appear in forthcoming alerts.

Save the date – Tuesday afternoon of 14 March 2023 at Art Gallery of NSW, Art Gallery Road, The Domain, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia.

On the eastern side of Sydney’s CBD next to the Royal Botanic Gardens and the Domain, just down the road from St Mary’s Cathedral, about 5 minutes walk from Macquarie Street or from Hyde Park. Consider getting there early and exploring the fabulous new extension and artworks to have a relaxed state of mind before grappling with the many and varied issues at the Forum.

There will be plenty to fret about and discuss.

Attendance is open to company directors, institutional investors, and regulators. The Art Gallery, while a fantastic venue, has a strict limit on numbers that can attend. So be on the lookout for an invitation in late January and be sure to respond promptly to confirm a spot. Sorry, but as per the past 16 years of Forums, others, including news media will be excluded. As in past Forums, the Chatham House Rule applies and open, frank discussion is encouraged.
